I just watch Jamie Foxx in Redemption. I haven't thought about capitol punishment in a long time. To be honest, I have always been for capitol punishment, but as I get older, I am getting past the need for retaliation. I once believed in eye for an eye. However, the ability to choose that one person should die over another is a powerful notion. I do not think I would be able to sit on a jury and impose the death penalty. Can you image telling someone they are going to die because you said so? Then imagine going home to your own job and home and family and live out your life without thinking about it again. I don't think I would be able to do it.
